One Night in Nida: golden hits, a unique venue and guests dressed to sparkle

On Saturday night, 80s and 90s hits filled Nida and the pier was packed with a crowd dressed to sparkle. Andrius Tapinas behind the DJ booth and universally loved songs had the disco-goers dancing and singing along from the very first chords. Not even a brief heavy downpour just before midnight could dampen the mood – it became yet another highlight of the summer's most fun party.

The event was originally planned for Nida's central beach, but the weather forced a change to an equally special venue – Nida pier. A breeze blowing in from the Curonian Lagoon, a starry night and great music – this now-traditional event drew around 3000 attendees this year, by the organisers' estimates.

Shiny decorations and disco balls caught the eye across the event area, bars were open, and those needing a break rested their feet in a lounge zone with bean bags. The OWEXX team handled the event production and the key quality elements – the stage, sound equipment and lighting – ensuring a smooth run and a great atmosphere. Neither the brief downpour nor the wind that kept up all night got in the way of the nostalgic music and playful lights filling Nida pier, while the stage decorated with disco elements and the spotlights recreated a disco atmosphere straight out of the 80s.

We thank the event sponsors "Vytautas" and "Tanqueray non-alcoholic". For the main sponsor – "Vytautas" mineral water – One Night in Nida became a double celebration: the first Lithuanian mineral water is marking its 100th anniversary!

We thank Neringa Municipality for the opportunity to hold the event and the Curonian Spit National Park for its support. During the disco, Andrius Tapinas invited attendees to give back right there at the event by sending a text message to a short number, buying a park visitor ticket and thus contributing to the preservation and care of the Curonian Spit.

The hit "The Best", sung along with Tina Turner by the disco crowd, seemed to perfectly capture everyone's mood and their take on the event. The turnout and the effort guests put into getting ready for the disco show that this one night in Nida is awaited all year long. We hope to see you at the summer's most fun party again in 2025!
